Norman King: The first Aeta graduate of the University Of The Philippines
The story of norman cosme king is really
inspirational and motivational through a
lot of his obstacle and sacrifices in life the same with us, but it was too much on his part .
Imagine he conquer the crowded place or city to study
and to find a job without minding all of
the judgement and discrimination
just to pursue his dreams in life and to make his parent and
tribe proud.
No wonder norman king are full of determination and goals in life, norman king bring us
courage and motivation to us and waiving
their own flag of dignity, success and
pride to his tribe and community.
I always believe in this saying “Don’t judge the book by its cover “ because no one
has the right to do that. They need us too , they need us to encourage them and
wanted us to recognized what they have ,
and what they are capable of doing with.
They only wanted to get acceptance from the society And
no one from us has the right to claim their lives. At the end we are all the
same.
If we can do it , then there is no impossible way that
they can do it too.
They can bring their feet to crowded place far from
where they come from.
Just like norman king he can bring his self and study in a big
school.
And most he can bring his self into a peak of succes.
He proves that
there is no such thing as cannot if you
are determined to raise yourself and be on the top of success.
He finished his primary and secondary education at marcos elementary school , Mabalacat city and and Angeles city National trade high school in Angeles city, pampanga. Norman had to work on early age to help his parents to provide for their family.
He worked after finishing high school in angeles city, pampanga. His father roman , eventually decide to agree
to send him to manila while he accepted several jobs in the city like a
computer technician and delivery boy.
Studying in UP
manila was not in the plans until a patron offered to help his family.
It is in one of these gatherings that someone expressed their desire to help,
and what roman wished for was his son to go to University of the Philippines
(UP).
Norman fulfilled his father’s dreams, and graduate with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science.
Norman king never once faltered in his determination to
get the edge of the finish line.
He said “That studying and working in a manila was both
enlightening and challenging”
“In manila I realized how important the value of money
was. Aside from that , in manila I have never experienced discrimination.” he
said.
The Iskolar ng Bayan or UP Diliman made a history as he
was handed over with the symbolic “Sablay” while on his “Bahag” during the graduation rites at the University of the
Philippines.
After the graduation, Only a month after receiving his
diploma, Norman king has Already received several job offers.
The senate, a governor in pampanga, the diwa ng magdalo foundation, and
an International consultancy firm expressed interest in working
with him.
But norman choose to served his community first and foremost.
“It is more important to be able to provide services to
my people or tribe. Because this is my priority” he said.
He said that he also wants to teach in University Of the
Philippines, which he can also pursue a master’s degree.

Norman was born in 1988 at the foot of mount pinatubo erupted in 1991, Forcing them or the aeta’s of inararo village to go to the low lands. The king family running a tricycle repair shop nearby.
His parents warlita and roman, could not afford to send all their children
to school, at the
same time on their earnings as fruit and vagetable grower and the income of
the small repair shop.
Norman king and his family is now residing in macapagal village in Mabalacat
City, Pampanga.
He finished Bachelor ofArts in Behavioral Sciences under the college of arts
And science .
(The behavioral
sciences is a multidisciplinary course. Intergrating the fields of Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology.)
He
also teaching the kids
Lolo and Lola of Norman. |

Our success relies on our hand and how we deal on
obstacle In life. Take a look
of the people and made them as an inspiration that nothing is impossible, its
doesn’t matter if who you are and where you from, as long as you have the
courage and determination in life.
